A little less than two weeks ago I flew out to Memphis TN to Photograph a wedding with Kristi Vickers of Blu Orchid Photography, a colleague and good friend of mine. I also had the privilege of photographing Kristi and her Fiance Nathaniel. The weather was hotter than you can imagine with 100% humidity. Being a California girl I am used to hot weather but add the humidity and it becomes hotter than the place we’re all trying to avoid. I had a great time in Memphis, Kristi and Nathaniel are great hosts.

We had the pleasure of meeting Alexandria and capturing her senior pictures. What a joy to to work with. She has such a sweet smile. Alexandria is a natural beauty. I love the images we captured of her in her sun dress outside.

Thalia~2010 High School Senior.

This is Thalia. What a gorgeous girl. I love the combination of her big blues eyes and dark brown hair. Thalia brought so many beautiful outfits paired with gorgeous pieces of Jewelry. She was so very well organized with her outfits and style. She also brought her mom Veronica aunt Nichole, they were a big help in keeping the jewelry and outfits in perfect order. A photographers dream team

We had so much fun out in the country. We took Thalia to a “top secret” location where there was a cool old truck and some great old sheds. Thalia is a natural at posing for the camera.

Here are a few samples of Thalia’s portraits from her session. On these images we processed them with our unique style using textures. This technique is used to create a unique piece of wall art. It adds a little bit of drama and mystery to each image.

High School Seniors are definitely some of our favorite people to photograph. We have been photographing seniors for a few years now. The style in which we shoot is high fashion, edgy and unique. We love to combine the uniqueness of our seniors with the elements of the environment. We take pride in creating a piece art with every photograph to be cherished for years to come. We shoot, contemporary, urban, country or whatever style suits our seniors . We take special care in making sure everyone of our seniors enjoy their time in front of the camera.

Sam

We had two sessions with Sam. Our first session turned out to be “one of those days”. We were loading up the truck for our location shoot and waiting for Sam when we realized I locked my keys in the truck. I then recieved a phone call from a very apologetic Sam telling me he was having “one of those days” too. I assured him not to worry and we would be waiting. This gave us time to run home and get our keys. Sam showed up shortly afterward. We didn’t have much light left but got some great shots just as the sun set. We reschedule a second session to get a few more outside and then some in the studio. What a great kid Sam is. He actually told me as I was laying in the prickly grass to get the perfect angle that I looked like “real photographer”…imagine that!

Jayme is a High School Senior and a cosmetology student as well. I have no doubt she will be successful with a career in the world of beauty and fashion, she’s got what it takes! Hey everyone! We our so excited to launch our New blog. Thanks to Bill Foster for helping us with the design and being so patient with all our questions. Great things are happening at Dawn Schubert Photography in Livermore, CA. We will be having our grand opening in the next few weeks. It has been a slow go getting the studio decorated and modeled just the way we want it but it’s almost there. Thanks to all our clients for being patient through the dust.
